UPDATE!!

My principal decided to join him in a photo.

The new photograph will go in the yearbook as a way to raise awareness for American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) and rescue animals like Mr. Bugglesworth and Vivienne.

"Thoughts racing, heart threatening to beat right out of her chest
She sits silently; an internal debate of whether or not to voice the turmoil she feels
Passing through her consciousness.
A never-ending string of random thoughts: some beautiful, some dreadful, flash in her overworked mind. It’s the beautifully dreadful thoughts that linger.
The past, the present, and the future all seem to blur together and become a tangled mess of confusion.
Heart beating fast, she continues to sit and think in silence.
She thinks of the good, the good she would never let go of.
She thinks of the bad, the bad that she just wants to leave behind.
Her mind continues to race with hopeless abandon.
She puts her head down, embarrassed of the tears that threaten to spill down her face.
While the blur of activity continues
She will sit in silence.
She will think beautifully dreadful thoughts.
Knowing that one day they will become dreadfully beautiful.
If she keeps trying
Working
Pushing
Because there are people in the world she is unwilling to give up on.
And they are unwilling to give up on her.
They will keep trying
Working
Pushing
To break her silence."

"The beautiful thing about history is that one day we will all become part of a story.
A tale of the good and bad
One that never ends
Even those who are gone
Live on
Continuing to leave their mark on us
Gaining immortality through word.
So when I fear the future
I think to the past
History
And how it will always be.
Today might be fleeting, but yesterday will live on.
In the most interesting story in the world"
